goala!

Blood test result was rather good today: neutraphils were 18! I needed only 1.0 to get home so that should do!
So am now home until monday. Then new treatment phase 3 will start sometime next week.
Arrived just in time to have a tea on the beach. Good wind and waves and not that cold, so hope the boys had a good one up the coast - I'd definitely have wanted to join in if i was allowed! No worries will start training in the summer.

  1. Great news, Martin. Am guessing you might be snowed in by now - better at home than at the hospital though. Jo

  2. Sounds as though your doing really well. We've even had 4" of snow in tropical cornwall.

  3. All lovely and snowy in darkest Oxfordshire (and of course whole county at standstill!).
How goes phase 3 - started yet?

  4. Hey Mini-Manny!

I know you were reluctant to write up but this was a tad drastic was it not. Surely the oft used 'a puppy ate my thesis' or 'a bigger boy took it and ran away' would have been simpler?

I was shocked when I heard ye wernay well chum and I have now read every entry in your blog to try and get up to speed with what's all been happening.

I have to admit to shedding a few tears in the process, but you also brought as many smiles with the humour that came across in your writing. I cant possibly imagine what you and your family are going through just now.

However I'm very proud to know somebody with as stoic and stiff (albeit ocassionaly crumbly) an upper lip as yourself. You're on one hell of a rollercoaster Marty but yer pals will be standing with the candy floss and toffee apples to take the piss when ye get off (even candy floss has got to beat sprouts and an absence of functioning taste buds are probably for the best with 'Carny food' anyway)

I have some news that will hopefully cheer you up a wee bit - I'm getting married! (yes really) Probably July this year (if we get our fingers out and book somewhere) So ye better get yer kilt sorted because it just wouldnt be a proper Wedding in you werent there winding Manny up and then dangling from a coat hanger at some point in the evening!

I hope Phase 3 goes well for ye pal - kick those Leuk cells backside and we'll be thinking of you

Love (in a manly way obviously)

    Stuart & Lesley
    xx
